Harmony Narratives

Born from the metabolic processing of the shadows, harmony narratives become the fuel source for who Trauma Inspired Leaders are and how they lead. These narratives are based in complementarity and transcendence.

The Positive Potential of Paradoxical Engagement.

Based in relationship, harmony narratives reveal the complexity of tapping into the positive potential of paradoxical dialogue. Leaders, engaging in this way, practice acceptance, confrontation, and transcendence of paradox (Lewis, 2000), which lead to spiritual awakening and freedom. The metabolic work of spiritual awakening occurs when (through the use of spiritual and reflective practices) shadow narratives are broken down and rebirthed as harmony narratives which inspire new beliefs and values in individuals, imbedding the growth and dynamic of leadership fueled by metabolized trauma.

“People motivate because they have the power. That doesn’t make them a good leader. When you lose your power, if others still listen to you, that’s leadership. So people follow you because they believe in you, not because they have to” (P15).
